National Water Safety Day The driver for a national water safety day is resultant from two issues; UK drowning trends have remained fairly stable over recent years. and the issue of water safety and in particular drowning does not have the same level of public awareness as other comparable safety issues in UK society or abroad. Proposal from IG was discussed at last CG meeting. The decision was made that the event could not be given the full resources required for a day to be held in 2007.

Child admission policy research The forum was tasked with reviewing the background and reasoning for child admission policies in swimming pools, and to see if there was a suitable way forward.

REM database projects The REM databases are a key source of information and a driver for UK water safety activity.  The REM databases all receive input from a wide range of organisations and sources. The management of these sources and technical issues requires input from more than the hosting organisation. Three recommendations have been for consideration primary input. Remtech requires additional members to shape new database.
